Vice President, Club at Kingsmill

Position Summary

The Vice President of the Club at Kingsmill will lead the day-to-day operations of the Club (the Club) to ensure the Club is fully integrated into the overall resort's positioning and operations. The Vice President of the Club at Kingsmill will represent the Club on the property's executive leadership team.  

The Vice President, Club at Kingsmill will use the property's resources, amenities, and staff, along with support from the home office, to be the voice of the membership at all times, which will lead to a vibrant, growing, and active membership that will make the club the most desirable Club in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Membership revenue growth through increased initiation fees, dues growth, Member retention, and net Members.
  • Own membership financial performance, including forecasting dues and initiation fee revenue, monitoring trends, and identifying opportunities for improvement and corrective action.
  • Work with the Home Office in the selection, hiring, and training of the Membership sales team.
  • Lead and manage the Membership sales team by ensuring accountability to lead measures, sales activity, and commitments through effective WIG (Wildly Important Goals) meetings and ongoing sales coaching.
  • Support direct membership sales efforts as needed to achieve club goals.
  • Lead the collections effort in Member AR, through signing Members up in Autopay, enforcing no charge policies, and calling Members with outstanding balances as needed.
  • Personally engage with outgoing Members to identify opportunities for retention and gather feedback to improve the overall club experience.
  • Develop and enhance Member value through creative programming, exclusive benefits, and elevated Member experiences.
  • Ensure every new Member receives a comprehensive and welcoming onboarding experience.
  • Maintain consistent communication with Members regarding upcoming events, Club enhancements, property maintenance updates, and other important Club information.
  • Serve as an advocate for member benefits by protecting existing exclusive offerings and presenting new benefit opportunities to Executive Leadership and Home Office teams.
  • Create meaningful pathways for Member engagement through programming initiatives, “clubs within the club,” and social integration opportunities that foster lasting relationships among Members.
  • Hold regular meetings and walk arounds with the Resort General Manager and the Operations Team to ensure that the Club’s amenities are neat, clean, and orderly at all times.
  • Represent the Club both within Kingsmill and outside the gates by actively participating in community events and major events associated with William & Mary to increase visibility and strengthen relationships outside the Club and community.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Membership sales, hospitality, private club management, or relationship-based sales leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience forecasting revenue and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with a focus on accountability and performance coaching.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding Member experiences and creating a strong community culture.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Executive Leadership, Home Office, Resort Staff, and external community partners.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working in private clubs, hospitality, country clubs, or luxury service environments.
