Position: Railcar Prepper
Location: Stevenson, AL
Position Summary:
Join an award-winning team in the logistics and rail services industry, where your work directly supports safe and efficient transportation across North America. As a Railcar Inspector/Prep associate, you will play a key role in ensuring railcars are properly cleaned, inspected, and prepared for transport. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality, and are looking for long-term career opportunities in a stable and growing company.
Areas of Responsibility:
  • Follow all industry, customer, and company safety regulations and operating procedures at all times.
  • Inspect, open, and close railcar end doors safely and accurately.
  • Examine railcars for signs of damage, wear, or fatigue, ensuring they meet required standards.
  • Identify any repairs that can be completed by Road & Rail Services personnel.
  • Remove debris, dirt, and other contaminants from railcars using backpack blowers, scrapers, and additional equipment to prevent potential vehicle damage.
  • Maintain responsibility for assigned tools and equipment, ensuring they are cleaned, stored, and in proper working condition.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and site cleanliness tasks as directed by management.
  • Support overall team operations by maintaining a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new tasks.
