Join a Legacy of Care - Delivering over 50 years of Healing and Hope
For over five decades Cancer Care Northwest has been the Inland Northwest's premier cancer center, providing an integrated approach to the diagnosis, treatment and healing of cancer and blood-related diseases.
Our collective passion to fight against cancer is what motivates and inspires us every day and is the reason Cancer Care Northwest has become the Inland Northwest's premier cancer center. We provide comprehensive, innovative, compassionate, integrated care throughout each patient's journey. We are searching for dedicated professionals who share our passion in saving lives. Are you looking to work alongside a team of professionals passionate about patient care? Join us in our mission to save lives.
Cancer Care Northwest is currently seeking a highly motivated Cancer Genetic Advanced Nurse Practitioner. This position will play a key role in identifying and managing patients at elevated risk for hereditary cancers, while collaborating closely with oncologists, breast surgeons, and radiologists.
Working under supervision or in partnership with physicians, the ARNP participates in the care of individuals, families, and patient populations affected by cancer, hereditary conditions, or related diagnoses. Responsibilities include prevention, screening, clinical management, and research, with an emphasis on genetic risk assessment and counseling. This position will function as a direct care provider and patient educator, while maintaining compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards. Supports and adheres to Cancer Care Northwest/US Oncology Compliance Program, including Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for oncology and hereditary risk patients.

  • Provide counseling on inheritance patterns, testing options, and implications for care.
  • Interpret genetic test results and communicate findings to patients and care teams.
  • Develop individualized surveillance and risk-reduction plans for high-risk breast patients. Monitor patients longitudinally for changes in risk status, clinical findings, or genetic updates.
  • Participate in continuing education such as tumor boards, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives related to genetics and high-risk care.
  • Maintain current knowledge of genetic guidelines (i.e. NCCN, ACMG) and integrate evidence-based genetics into practice, including variant reclassification and secondary findings.
  • Support clinical research related to cancer genetics and hereditary syndromes.

Qualifications
