Job description

About Brophy Brothers

Brophy Brothers is a specialty produce distributor serving the foodservice industry across the New York metropolitan area. As part of the Produce One platform, Brophy Brothers combines the agility and personal relationships of a family-rooted distributor with the scale, purchasing power, and resources of a growing multi-company organization. We are investing in our sales team and building a foundation for sustained growth across restaurants, hotels, institutions, and catering operations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking driven, relationship-focused Sales Executives to join our team and help build something from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to grow a territory, develop a book of business, and play a foundational role in the next chapter of Brophy Brothers' growth — backed by the resources of an expanding produce platform.

What You'll Do
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of foodservice accounts, including restaurants, hotels, institutions, and catering operations
  • Proactively prospect and develop new business within an assigned New York metro territory
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with chefs, owners, and operators by understanding their needs and delivering consistent value
  • Partner closely with operations and sales leadership to ensure service levels and product quality reflect the Brophy Brothers standard
  • Stay current on product availability, seasonality, and market pricing to advise clients effectively
  • Maintain accurate account records and pipeline activity using company CRM tools
  • Represent Brophy Brothers professionally in the field, at industry events, and within the culinary community
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum two years of sales experience in foodservice, produce, or specialty food distribution
  • Strong culinary background a plus — experience in a professional kitchen, with chefs, or in restaurant operations is highly valued
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in the field
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of the New York metro foodservice market preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
