Job Description:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance team and coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities throughout the manufacturing facility. This position ensures that production equipment, material-handling systems, utilities, and facility systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
  • Establishes, maintains and improves Environment, Health and Safety management system (EHS) and performance.
  • Develops, maintains and improves PM program for every piece of equipment throughout the facility.
  • Address and resolve day-to-day equipment downtime problems.
  • Sets up an effective spare parts inventory system.
  • Assesses risks of equipment and sets up a Lockout and Tagout (LOTO) program.
  • Provides training to all operators on LOTO, safety, and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Drives a culture change in the facility from a reactive state to a proactive/predictive state
  • Performs miscellaneous duties, tasks & projects as needed
  • Responsible for Maintenance Tech(s) time and assigned duties
  • Responsible for all Maintenance related vendors in terms of quality, cost and delivery of their services.
  • Other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Associate degree in industrial technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • 15 + years’ experience in a plastics manufacturing plant as a hands-on maintenance supervisor preferred
  • A strong background in EHS related regulations and commitment to safety
  • Strong working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • 5S, ISO and TPM training
  • Start-up experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other preventative maintenance programs

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.
