As a Machinist at Sharon Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, located in Farrell, PA, you will play a vital role in supporting our production operations through precision machining, maintenance, and setup of tools and equipment. This position is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety who enjoy hands-on, detail-oriented work in an industrial manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lay out work and set up machining operations according to specifications.

  • Experience with a manual lathe required.

  • Experience with Bridgeport milling.

  • Operate machine tools and fabricate or repair parts to required standards.

  • Ensure accuracy and precision in all machining and assembly tasks.

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery and related equipment.

  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support continuous operations.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

  • Work rotational shifts and overtime as needed to meet production demands.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proven problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent work ethic and commitment to maintaining safety standards.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.

  • Solid employment history with verifiable professional references.

  • Must successfully complete a post-offer physical, background check, and drug test.

  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance in an industrial setting preferred.

Physical Abilities

  • Regularly lift and/or carry 50+ pounds.

  • Proficient with hand and power tools, including Bridgeport and lathe equipment.

  • Must be able to stand and walk for at least 95% of the shift.
