Role Summary
As a Set up Operator/Tube Bending Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC bending and related tube fabrication equipment to produce precision tube components. You'll work from prints and specifications to ensure quality, repeatability, and dimensional accuracy. This includes collaborating with production, engineering and quality teams to meet customer and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
โœ” Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and bending specifications
โœ” Set up and operate CNC tube bending machines and other tube fabrication equipment (such as mandrel, roll, and press benders) to produce precision bent tubes that meet strict tolerances and customer requirements
โœ” Review part programs and tooling setups to ensure optimal machine performance and output
โœ” Perform quality checks and measure parts during and after bending operations
โœ” Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate problems to supervisors
โœ” Maintain accurate production records and documentation
โœ” Assist in cleanup and organization of fabrication work areas
โœ” Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with shop standards
