Job description

Title: Precision Assembler

Type of Placement: Temp to Hire

Shift: 1st Shift 8:00am-4:00pm Monday - Friday

Pay/Pay Range: $26.00-$28.00hrly depending on experience.

About Our Customer:

Medical technology company based in Bedford, MA, developing advanced diagnostic devices and healthcare technology. The company focuses on innovative, high-precision products used in medical and specialized applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Precision assembly and alignment of optical and mechanical assemblies; collaborative development of related assembly procedures and tooling. Light machining, electrical rework, and other shop activities. Ordering, organization and record keeping related to supplies and inventory. Creation and maintenance of quality records associated with other job duties. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

DUTIES:

  • Assemble small and delicate medical-device components with precision and accuracy.
  • Use hand tools and precision tools to assemble components.
  • Inspect parts and completed assemblies for defects and proper fit.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Production of prototypes and production assemblies and systems as assigned.
  • Development of processes as needed for new parts, assemblies and systems.
  • Optical alignment and Optical assembly
  • Follow company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Precision mechanical assembly
  • Ability to use hand tools and small precision tools.
  • Work carefully with repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality.
  • Meet production schedules and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Follow applicable medical-device manufacturing and quality-system requirements.
  • Appropriate use of PPE and relevant safety systems and policies

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed indoors in a clean, climate-controlled assembly area with normal room temperatures, low to moderate noise from equipment, good lighting, and adequate ventilation.

Physical Capabilities:

Frequently required to perform actions stooping, bending, balancing, grasping, standing, sitting, walking, opening, removing, sorting, moving, and handling of objects up to 45lbs.
