Job description

Position Summary

The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery to assist with high-end residential landscaping projects. This includes site preparation, grading, material handling, and installation support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and takes pride in delivering work that reflects the quality and sophistication our clients expect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely and efficiently operate landscape equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, trenchers, compactors, and loaders.

  • Perform site grading, excavation, trenching, and backfilling for landscape and hardscape installations.

  • Load, transport, and place materials (soil, gravel, stone, plants, etc.) with precision and care.

  • Support crews in installation of patios, retaining walls, plantings, drainage, and irrigation systems.

  • Conduct daily equipment inspections, perform basic maintenance, and report mechanical issues.

  • Follow all safety protocols and company standards to maintain a secure job site.

  • Work closely with project managers and crew leaders to execute high-end landscape designs to exact specifications.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site, mindful of the client’s property at all times.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience operating landscaping or construction equipment.

  • Experience in high-end residential landscaping or similar detail-oriented work preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of equipment safety and proper operating procedures.

  • Ability to read and follow site plans, grades, and instructions from supervisors.

  • Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).

  • Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work effectively in a team.
