Essential Responsibilities
Production & Equipment Operation
• Read and interpret work orders; follow instructions to complete projects accurately and on time
• Operate graphic output equipment, including vinyl and grand format printers
• Load and calibrate machines to ensure optimal print quality
• Effectively print products according to work orders and production schedules
• Establish and follow graphic production standards
Quality Control
• Inspect finished signs for accuracy, quality, and compliance with drawings and specifications
• Follow established quality control procedures to minimize rework and ensure standards are met
• Use past job information to guide workflows, keep files organized within company system, and follow production standards
Workflow & Efficiency
• Prioritize work orders to maximize efficiency of equipment and materials
• Monitor and manage material usage to reduce waste and control costs
• Collaborate with other production departments to support workflow and meet deadlines
Inventory & Materials Management
• Take inventory of materials and coordinate stock orders with supervisor
• Load, move, and stage materials and completed signage for shipping, delivery, or installation
Communication & Documentation
• Record job details in production software (hours, materials, procedures, specifications)
• Communicate project updates, changes, delays, or issues to the Graphics Supervisor
• Document equipment issues and report repair needs to management
Safety
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace throughout the day and at shift end
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with large format printing processes and equipment
  • Knowledge of pre-press production and RIP software
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Intermediate knowledge of printing and color profiling and management
  • Ability to independently operate machinery
  • Working knowledge of computers and the Windows environment
  • Ability to correctly use and read a tape measure
  • Work Quality & Problem Solving
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and develop practical solutions
  • Ability to multitask in a schedule-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and quality

Education & Work Authorization

  • If not already obtained, employee must obtain OSHA 10 General Industry Card within 30 days of hire.

Salary Description
$20 - $26 Commensurate with Experience
