Job description

POSITION SUMMARY The Entrance Attendant is the first point of contact for every guest and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, safe, and organized arrival experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests, managing the line and entry flow, enforcing house policies, completing mandatory ID verification, and communicating proactively with the Manager on Duty (MOD). • Control guest flow to maintain safe, compliant capacity.
  • Enforce key entrance policies.
  • Maintain and enforce line protocols.
  • Apply line-priority rules exactly as directed
  • Keep required door tools on hand and operational at all times.
  • Closing procedures: stop new arrivals when directed after bar service ends (re-entry exceptions as stated), prevent guest crowding outside the gate upon exit, and secure entrance-related equipment as assigned.
  • Follow closing takes at the end of shifts.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and clean uniform throughout each shift.
  • Support restaurant operations by assisting servers, runners, and managers as needed.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies.
  • Be available for evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by business volume.

  • Maintain focus and poise in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Communicate clearly in person and over radio; ability to manage guest interactions professionally and calmly.
  • Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday availability as required by business volume.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and the ability to enforce policies respectfully and consistently.
  • Ability to follow written procedures precisely and escalate to MOD appropriately (no improvising).
