Job description

Vehicle Validation & Reliability Driver

Are you the driver who notices everything? The subtle vibration, the slightly delayed shift, the rattle that appears only on a certain stretch of road? If so, you’ll thrive helping us validate cutting-edge vehicles before they reach customers.

Why this role matters

Your evaluations inform engineering and quality teams about real-world performance. You’ll help surface issues across powertrain, build quality, system functionality, and design—so we can ship better vehicles.

When you’ll work
  • 1st shift: 4:00 am – 12:30 pm
  • 2nd shift: 4:00 pm – 12:30 am
  • Saturday/Sunday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Expect 8–10 hour shifts.

What you’ll tackle
  • Drive pre-production and production vehicles on public roads along designated routes for 8–10 hours.
  • Execute testing procedures safely, obeying all traffic laws and internal safety/security practices.
  • Maneuver oversized vehicles and operate confidently in adverse weather.
  • Complete a comprehensive evaluation and produce a clear, concise report for every vehicle.
What makes you great
  • Hardworking, detail-focused, and a strong team player.
  • 21+ years old with a valid Michigan driver’s license held for at least 5 years.
  • Clean driving history: no points; no major citations or accidents in the past three years; no DUI or DWAI.
  • Comfort with digital tools: read maps; use iPad/tablet for instructions and reporting.
  • Physically able to lift at least 25 lbs and remain alert during prolonged driving.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; reliable attendance and completion of required training.
  • Clear verbal communication; legible, detailed written documentation.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to follow directions precisely.
