Job description

Warehouse Associate

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associates to support a high-volume distribution operation in Sumter, SC. This role is designed for individuals who can work at a steady, fast pace while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in doing the job right the first time, can follow instructions precisely, and consistently delivers accurate work in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately read and interpret product labels, item codes, and shipping documentation
  • Perform quick and accurate counting of products and materials
  • Move, stage, and organize inventory efficiently
  • Follow written and verbal work instructions with precision
  • Maintain accuracy while working under time pressure
  • Support shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks as assigned
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What We're Really Looking For: Success in this role depends less on the number of warehouse roles someone has held and more on their core skills, accuracy, and ability to perform in a fast-paced setting. The following qualities are just as important — and in many cases more important — than being a highly skilled or experienced warehouse, forklift, or shipping associate:

  • Strong reading comprehension (English), including the ability to accurately read labels, item codes, and work instructions
  • Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and error prevention
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and workflows
  • Strong work ethic, accountability, and reliability
  • Comfort working at a steady, fast pace while maintaining accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in fast-paced environments is a plus
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Must be able to pass background check and onboarding requirements

Why This Role:

  • Smaller, high-performing team environment
  • Focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Reduced rework and fewer operational errors
  • Opportunity for long-term placement based on performance

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
