Job description

THE COMPANY:
NYC based Experiential Marketing Agency is seeking the perfect fit for our team. We are fast paced, creatively led, high-end experiential marketing firm with clients in the spirits, fashion, film and luxury industries.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Gradient is in search of a US based Production Intern starting in January 2027 to work alongside our Production Team - the team that manages and executes all of our in real life activations and events. These positions are paid $1,500 per month and ideal for current students and recent graduates looking for experience in the field of event production, with the hope of making this your future career path. Due to the nature of the business, we have a strong preference for a minimum of six months for the internship. We feel this is the minimum amount of time where you can truly learn and grow from an experience with Gradient, being able to see events from start to finish and truly take part in the process. We also have a strong preference for NY based candidates, so you can remain hands on with the day to day work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES GENERAL / PRE PRODUCTION
  • Perform supportive tasks to the production team
  • Researching the brand including past activations
  • Researching venues for projects
  • Contacting and sourcing all necessary venue information for projects including availability, rental fees, A/V, catering, permitting, power needs, timing, security, etc
  • Building venue decks for clients
  • Researching and contacting vendors for information
  • Sourcing decor elements for events
  • Filling out necessary sheets in Master Production Booklet (decor sourcing, travel info, contact info, venue info, etc)
  • Leading fulfillment of gift bags or inventory, when necessary.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions, offering creative ideas and solutions to enhance client campaigns
  • Taking notes on all internal and external calls

LIVE EVENT & ONSITE
  • Supporting lead production team onsite with check-in, errands, set-up and management of attendee experience
  • Overseeing the back of house maintenance including crew meals, radios, rentals, production boxes, etc
  • Management support of select vendors (cleaning, security, rentals, crew meals, etc)
  • Always maintain the Gradient standard - ways of working, attire, mannerisms and protocols

WONDERING IF THE ROLE IS RIGHT FOR YOU, HERE IS A CHECKLIST:
Do you want to learn what experiential marketing and event production is all about?
Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and dedicated to seeing tasks through?
Are you solution-oriented and excited about working through challenges?
Are you a strong communicator?
Are you comfortable jumping on the phone to call around for pricing and information?
Do you love the energy of last-minute tasks/problem solving and set-up around a major project?
Enjoy working hard to meet deliverables?
Want to be part of a team?
