Ideal Steel is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead and oversee all District Sales Managers across multiple territories. This role is responsible for setting the strategic direction of sales operations, driving revenue growth, and ensuring consistent execution of Ideal Steel’s brand promise. The Sales Manager will serve as the architect of sales strategy, mentor to District Sales Managers, and a key partner to executive leadership in achieving company-wide growth objectives.


Success in this position will be measured by the ability to unify district efforts, expand market share, and cultivate long-term customer relationships through consultative and collaborative leadership.

Key Responsibilities


As a Sales Manager, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop District Sales Managers to achieve individual and collective sales goals.
  • Establish and monitor annual sales targets, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Design and implement sales strategies to expand Ideal Steel’s market presence.
  • Oversee customer relationship management across districts, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional service.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to high-value customers and prospects, maintaining strategic relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to company values and reinforce Ideal Steel’s brand promise across all sales activities.
  • Facilitate communication between District Sales Managers, inside sales staff, and executive leadership.
  • Job duties include but are not limited to the above.
Requirements:

Required Education, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of successful sales experience in Pre-Engineered Metal Building or related industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in the use of MBS software.
  • Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret Pre-Engineered Metal Building drawings.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies that drive measurable growth.
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire high performance.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize high payoff sales activities.
  • Solid work ethic and commitment to integrity.
  • Legal work authorization in the United States (sponsorship will not be provided for this role).
