Job description

We are seekinga Pre-Analytical Services Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories businessin Valencia, CA.

Shift M-F 7am-3:30pm

As the Pre-Analytical Services Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with receipt of clinical specimens.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting with receipt of consignments and shipments, opening of shipments and the quality check of patient info forms.

  • Escalating incorrect, missing information, or damaged shipments to senior level staff.

  • Disposing and/or recycling of kit shipping supplies correctly.

  • Ensuring specimens are not left in kit packaging by conducting a secondary check of shipping materials.

  • Supporting and responding to after-hour alarms and/or other job critical functions.

  • Assisting in maintenance of equipment, supply inventory functions, and general cleanup of workstations.

  • Performing various administrative duties as required.

  • Handling receipt of compounds and control material and following safety procedures.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required.

  • Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

  • Basic Computer skills.

  • Maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $24,400.00 - $50,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
