Vista College Prep welcomes inquiries regarding Student Teaching and Internship opportunities across all grade levels and content areas. Our team will do our best to identify an opportunity matching the applicant's request at one of our five campuses, and work with the applicant to outline a suitable arrangement in compliance with the requirements of their University and Degree Program.

Role Mission:
The Student Teacher or Teaching Intern is responsible for supporting matters that directly relate to academic instruction. In this role, you will work either independently as a classroom Lead Teacher or alongside a current Vista Teacher, with the coaching and support of a designated mentor to execute and reinforce VCP's processes, procedures, and mission inside the classroom.

Practicum Students
Your Impact:
Practicum students at Vista will gain hands-on experience in the education sector. By observing and assisting lead teachers to implement rigorous, standards-aligned lessons, Vista Interns develop the skills to cultivate a love for learning, positive school culture, and a focused learning environment for students of all backgrounds and ability levels. Depending on the requirements of your degree program, your impact and involvement may include the following:
  • Assist teachers in the classroom, supporting student learning and engagement.
  • Collaborate with staff on planning and implementing lesson plans and activities.
  • Support individual or small groups of students with academic assistance.
  • Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and professional development as appropriate.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including preparing materials and data entry.
  • Engage in mentorship and training opportunities with experienced educators.
