Job description

A pediatric practice located near Plainfield, NJ is seeking a locum tenens physician to provide coverage in a well-established outpatient setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a board-certified pediatrician looking for flexible scheduling and the chance to support a local community.

Job Highlights:

  • Location: Near Plainfield, NJ
  • Position Type: Locum Tenens Pediatrician
  • Start Date: As soon as credentialed
  • Shift Schedule:
    • 3 days per week
    • Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    • Preferred days: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (flexible)
  • Call Requirements:
    • 8 call nights per month (flexible on scheduling)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient pediatric care in a well-established practice
  • Approximately 12 well-check visits per day
  • See 15-18 patients per day in the clinic
  • No deliveries or inpatient responsibilities required
  • No supervision of other healthcare providers

Practice Setting:

  • Work alongside 2 other physicians and a mid-level provider
  • Each provider is assigned 2 exam rooms and a dedicated Medical Assistant
  • Administrative support from 2 front desk staff and an office manager
  • Utilize Athena EMR for documentation

Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics Required
  • Active New Jersey Medical License Required
  • Payer Enrollment in Horizon and Aetna Required
  • BLS, ACLS Preferred
