The program focuses on training and education, while the LPN title refers to the licensed professional actively providing patient care.

Is being a practical nursing program a good career?

Practical nursing is a viable career that involves providing basic patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. It typically requires completing a diploma or certificate program and passing the NCLEX-PN exam. The profession offers job stability, opportunities for advancement, and work in diverse healthcare settings such as clinics, hospitals, and long-term care facilities.

What can I do with a practical nursing program?

A practical nursing program prepares individuals to become licensed practical nurses (LPNs) or licensed vocational nurses (LVNs), allowing them to provide basic patient care, monitor health conditions, administer medications, and assist registered nurses and physicians in healthcare settings. Graduates can work in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare environments, often under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians.
