What is a PR influencer?

PR Influencers are individuals who leverage their social media presence, expertise, and credibility to shape public perception and promote brands, products, or messages on behalf of public relations campaigns. They collaborate with companies or PR agencies to create content that aligns with a brand’s image, aiming to engage target audiences and build trust. PR Influencers often work across platforms like Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok to maximize outreach and impact. Their role is crucial in modern marketing strategies, as audiences increasingly rely on trusted voices over traditional advertising.

How does a PR influencer typically collaborate with other departments within an organization?

A PR Influencer often works closely with marketing, social media, and content teams to align messaging and campaigns. Collaboration includes brainstorming strategies, coordinating content calendars, and ensuring consistent brand representation across all platforms. Regular meetings and shared project management tools help maintain clear communication and streamline efforts, making cross-department collaboration both essential and rewarding for success in the role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a PR influencer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a PR Influencer, you need a strong understanding of public relations principles, brand strategy, and content creation, often supported by experience in communications or marketing. Familiarity with social media platforms, analytics tools, and influencer marketing software is typically required. Excellent networking, storytelling, and relationship-building skills help set top performers apart in this role. These skills are crucial for effectively shaping brand perception, engaging audiences, and driving successful PR campaigns.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish, own, and deepen relationships with private equity clients across the Americas throughout their deal cycle.

  • Act as the driving force behind new business through prospecting, lead generation, and securing client meetings.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Dialectica's product and service suite to match clients with appropriate solutions and facilitate cross-selling.

Job description

About The Role

As a Commercial Manager in Dialectica's Americas Private Equity team, you will be the engine of business development and the frontline of our client-facing activity across the region. Reporting to the Director of Private Equity, you will establish and grow relationships with private equity clients across the Americas — building trust, understanding their needs across the deal cycle, and matching them to the right Dialectica solutions.

You will act as the bridge between clients and our internal teams, translating client needs into the right delivery and ensuring a seamless experience. Success in the role rests on a deep understanding of our full product and service suite and how each offering adds value and eases client pain points from pre-deal diligence through to value creation.

This role will be a mix of both Commercial and Operational / Delivery, with a projected split of ~60-70% commercial and ~30-40% operational delivery. Our current product portfolio for Private Equity clients encompasses Expert Calls, Insights, Origin, Executive Partnerships, and Strategic Intelligence, and a key aspect of the role will be ensuring that we are positioning the right product to match a client's needs and facilitating cross-selling.

What You Will Do

Client Relationships & Trusted Advisory

  • Establish, own and deepen relationships with private equity clients across the Americas, becoming a trusted partner throughout their deal cycle.
  • Proactively engage clients to understand their needs, challenges and priorities across pre-deal, diligence and value creation.
  • Visit clients regularly to build rapport, gather feedback, and surface new opportunities.

Business Development — the commercial engine

  • Act as the driving force behind new business — prospecting, lead generation, and securing and running client meetings.
  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals that map Dialectica's solutions to client needs.
  • Represent Dialectica at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to build profile and generate pipeline.

Solution Matching & Cross-Sell

  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of Dialectica's full product and service suite and how each adds value across the deal cycle.
  • Match clients to the right Dialectica solutions, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell complementary services.
  • Serve as the bridge between clients and internal teams — product teams and the Client Service Team — ensuring client needs are understood, delivered against, and continuously met.

Commercial Contribution

  • Contribute to the commercial strategy for the Americas PE desk, sharing market intelligence and client insight with the wider team.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities and partnerships that grow Dialectica's share of tier-one Americas private equity clients.

Flexibility & Travel

  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel to meet clients, attend meetings, and participate in industry events as required.
  • Manage travel efficiently to maximise client-facing time and ensure effective coverage of key accounts and individuals.
How Your Success Will Be Measured
  • Client meeting volume and quality across your account portfolio.
  • Account growth — revenue expansion across your private equity accounts across products.
  • Evidence of cross-selling — the breadth of Dialectica solutions adopted across your clients.
  • Evidence of upskilling - helping more junior colleagues across the PE, Americas desk to become more commercially-minded and operationally astute.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in any field (master's preferred)
  • 5-10+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or professional services ; commercial due diligence  and research experience highly valued.
  • A strong grasp of — or the ability to rapidly master — a broad product and service suite, and how it maps to client pain points across the deal cycle.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels (e.g. from internal research associates to Directors at large-cap PE firms)
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify opportunities for revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Go-getter mentality to build commercial relationships and become a trusted, reliable partner to PE clients. Strong ability to think outside of the box and be persistent in solving problems for clients and finding ways to land meetings and win projects.
  • A results-oriented, self-starting mindset, with the drive to own a book of business and consistently hit activity and revenue targets.
What You Will Get Out Of It

We offer a competitive remuneration package where you'll be rewarded for your individual and team performance. Our comprehensive rewards package includes support for flexible & hybrid working and career development through Learning & Development opportunities, plus benefits that suit your needs including a private health insurance scheme and a wide range of discounts, offers and promotions. Plus, we offer:

  • Support and coaching from some of the most engaging colleagues around.
  • Opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career in a global organisation.
  • A diverse and inclusive culture supported through a number of initiatives.
  • The freedom and flexibility to handle your role in a way that's right for you.
