Job description

Company:

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.

Job Area:

Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group, Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group > Public Relations

General Summary:

Qualcomm Technologies is seeking a tech-savvy communications manager to help shape and amplify the global story of Snapdragon Compute and the Company’s growing PC business—one of Qualcomm’s most visible, competitive, and strategically important growth areas.

This role supports how Qualcomm shows up in the PC market: translating complex silicon, AI, software, and ecosystem innovation into compelling narratives; strengthening Snapdragon’s position as a leading platform; and helping influence OEMs, partners, developers, IT decision makers, media, analysts, creators, and consumers around the world. The individual will help develop and execute high-impact communications programs spanning platform launches, OEM and ecosystem partner moments, flagship events, executive storytelling, competitive positioning, and always-on media, analyst, and influencer engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the development and execution of long-term and near-term communications strategies that elevate Snapdragon’s role in redefining the PC category through performance, efficiency, on-device AI, battery life, and new computing experiences.
  • Serving as a communications partner to Compute/PC business leaders and cross-functional teams, helping shape programs that advance business priorities, strengthen reputation, and address fast-moving competitive issues.
  • Executing creative activations that move Snapdragon beyond product awareness and further establish Snapdragon-powered PCs as desirable, differentiated, and culturally relevant devices for consumers, businesses, creators, students, and developers.
  • Building and maintaining media, analyst, creator, OEM, software partner, and ecosystem relationships—along with a strong understanding of the global PC, AI PC, and semiconductor landscape—to support proactive storytelling, launch impact, and competitive issue management.
  • Managing incoming media and analyst inquiries related to Snapdragon-powered PCs, AI PC readiness, competitive performance claims, ecosystem momentum, product roadmaps, and partner announcements, in close partnership with senior communications leads.
  • Leading regional agency and in-house resources to deliver coordinated, measurable Compute/PC communications programs with global reach, local market relevance, and crisp alignment across major launch, event, and partner moments.
  • Partnering cross-functionally across Compute product marketing, product management, engineering, sales, regional teams, OEM partner marketing, analyst relations, influencer relations, events, and executives to create alignment, unlock storytelling opportunities, and represent communications plans at the highest levels.
  • Owning Compute/PC business unit reporting, measurement, and budget management to demonstrate communications impact, inform leadership decisions, and ensure resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities.
Corporate values

All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Public Relations or related work experience.
  • Associate's degree and 7+ years of Public Relations or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in marketing or public relations within the PC, ecosystem, semiconductor, consumer electronics, OEM device, or enterprise computing space.
  • Experience with consumer, commercial, education, developer, or enterprise PC audience communications.
  • Experience leading press/media relations, analyst relations, influencer/creator programming, and executive communications for technology platforms or device categories.
  • Experience leading global product launches, media events, media tours, partner announcements, and industry moments tied to PCs, computing, AI, or consumer technology.
  • Able to positively lead a team in fast paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work well and influence others across the organization, including marketing, engineering, product management, sales, regional teams, OEM partner teams, and executives.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively across simultaneous projects.
