Job description

Why Join ChildCareGroup

Founded in 1901, ChildCareGroup’s (CCG) mission is to drive generational change by advancing early learning, family stability, and workforce opportunity.

At CCG, strong donor partnerships and community support make it possible to deliver programs and services that create lasting impact for children and families. Join a mission-driven organization where your work helps advance fundraising efforts, strengthen donor relationships, and support the resources needed to achieve our mission.

Why This Role Matters

As a Development Associate, you play a critical role in supporting ChildCareGroup’s fundraising and development operations. You ensure donor information, fundraising data, and reporting are accurate while providing essential administrative and operational support to the development team.

This role goes beyond administration—it is about relationship management, stewardship, and operational excellence. Your work helps strengthen donor engagement, supports strategic fundraising initiatives, and ensures the systems and processes are in place to build long-term philanthropic support for the organization.

What You’ll Do
  • Coordinate development operations by managing calendars, meetings, department schedules, donor activities, fundraising campaigns, and development-related events.
  • Support donor engagement and stewardship efforts by preparing donor materials, maintaining portfolios, tracking interactions and follow-up activities, and assisting with moves management processes.
  • Maintain accurate donor, prospect, gift, pledge, and fundraising records within the organization’s CRM, including gift processing, acknowledgements, data management, list preparation, and prospect research.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, proposals, presentations, communications, and board materials while ensuring the accuracy of fundraising, campaign, donor activity, and financial reporting data.
  • Collaborate with staff to maintain data integrity, support CRM improvements and training, organize department records, and provide administrative support for special projects and other development initiatives.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in fundraising, development, nonprofit administration, or a related field; social service agency experience preferred.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, project management, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and donor database/CRM systems; familiarity with donor-advised funds (DAFs), foundations, and charitable receipting requirements preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to a results-oriented, mission-driven team.

ChildCareGroup is an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
