Aerospace Transparencies - Quality Engineer
Huntsville, AL

As the Quality Engineer is a hands-on technical contributor responsible for executing quality engineering activities that support product conformity, defect prevention, and continuous improvement in a regulated aerospace environment. You will work closely with Senior Quality Engineers and the Engineering Manager. This role applies established quality tools, methodologies, and processes to identify issues, analyze data, support corrective actions, and improve process performance.
This is a On-site role reporting to the Huntsville, AL facility. In this role you will report to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute quality engineering activities supporting manufacturing, repair, and support operations, ensuring quality requirements, control plans, inspection strategies, and risk mitigations are effectively implemented in daily processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and trend quality performance data related to defects, nonconformances, yields, and customer issues; prepare reports and dashboards to support problem-solving, management reviews, and decision-making.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives by documenting investigations, tracking actions to closure, verifying effectiveness, and ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve day-to-day quality issues, evaluate process and engineering changes, and improve producibility, repeatability, and workmanship.
  • Serve as a quality representative for assigned products, processes, or work areas, providing guidance and escalating emerging risks, quality concerns, and adverse trends as appropriate.
  • Support customer quality activities and internal, customer, and certification audits by preparing quality records, investigating issues, responding to findings, and ensuring compliance with AS9100, QMS, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on defect reduction, variation control, process stability, and standardization by applying quality tools and basic Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in quality, manufacturing, engineering, or a related technical role is required.
  • Exposure to aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Formal quality certifications are a plus but not required.
