As a Sales Business Development Manager, you will own the commercial strategy for a defined portfolio of North American customers, with accountability for pipeline development, revenue growth, and order intake. your primary responsibility will be to identify and qualify new business opportunities, while cultivating long‑term relationships with potential customers. You will promote and sell GreenPowerMonitor (GPM) portfolio of hardware and software solutions for monitoring and managing renewable energy assets across North America. By aligning our offerings with customer needs, you will play a key role in driving business growth.

This role will be based out of a DNV office within the continental US with preference for Oakland, CA, Austin, TX, and NYC, NY.

What You'll Do
  • Own and execute the commercial strategy for a defined portfolio of North American customers, with accountability for pipeline development, revenue growth, and order intake.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities while expanding GPM’s presence within strategic North American renewable‑energy accounts; drive new‑logo acquisition and expansion within existing strategic accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategies for managing the sales pipeline, lead generation, contract negotiations, and order intake, with direct accountability for revenue growth, new customer acquisition, and market expansion.
  • Identify potential customers, establish new partnerships, and clearly communicate the commercial and technical value proposition of GPM’s solutions — including SCADA, PPC, EMS, and advanced analytics — to key stakeholders. A strong technical understanding is expected; deep technical execution is supported by GPM’s technical team.
  • Build and nurture trusted business relationships with both current and new customers to foster long‑term partnerships.
  • Develop and execute account strategies for key North American customers and prospects; build multi‑level relationships with technical, commercial, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
  • Translate customer’s technical specifications into comprehensive techno‑commercial proposals that align with their operational and financial requirements.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with our customers and internal stakeholders to successfully execute projects and deliver on commitments.
  • Develop and execute a North American business‑development strategy across key renewable‑energy markets, prioritizing strategic accounts and high‑value opportunities.
  • Represent GPM at key industry events such as exhibitions, conferences, and trade missions focused on solar, wind, and storage within the region.
  • Provide insights and support to HQ’s team regarding market dynamics, customer demands, and regional specifics to inform strategic decisions.
