Job description

PPC Specialist
Company Overview:
Classy Llama was founded in 2007 and we provide an expert platform and data integration that helps commerce organizations grow. We deliver rock-solid solutions to industrial B2B companies in verticals like automotive, manufacturing, parts, materials, and customizable products. We only succeed when we help our clients succeed. Our primary focus is on investing in hiring, developing, and growing our people.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a data-driven, strategic, and growth-oriented PPC Specialist to join our digital marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, execution, and optimization of our paid search and paid social campaigns.
The ideal candidate understands that modern PPC is no longer just about manual bid adjustments-it is about leveraging automation, analyzing deep audience data, and aligning creative assets with consumer intent. You will own the health of our ad spend, continuously testing new angles to lower customer acquisition costs (CAC), creative direction and scale revenue.
Responsibilities:
  • Campaign Management & Execution: Build, launch, and manage end-to-end paid campaigns across key networks (including Meta, Google Ads and Microsoft Ads).
  • Continuous Optimization: Perform daily account audits, adjust automated bidding strategies, manage budgets to prevent waste, and optimize keyword and audience targeting.
  • A/B Testing & Creative Strategy: Collaborate with the creative team to brief, deploy, and test new ad copy, hooks, images, and video assets based on historical performance data.
  • Landing Page Optimization: Partner with web developers/designers to test and optimize landing page experiences to maximize conversion rates (CRO).
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report weekly/monthly performance metrics using Google Analytics 4 and custom dashboards, providing actionable insights rather than just raw numbers.
  • Tracking & Compliance: Ensure clean data capture by setting up and monitoring conversion tracking tags, pixels, and attribution models.
  • Auditing and Consulting: Produce comprehensive audits and roadmapping for clients based on their goals and expectations.
  • Account ownership: Manage and handle the relationship with the client and Classy Llama to ensure positive and growing engagement.
Required Skills, Abilities and Characteristics:
Technical Skills:
  • Platform Expertise: At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience directly managing budgets inside Google Ads, Meta Business Manager and any other platforms. Across both lead generation and e-commerce product driven accounts.
  • Analytics & Tracking: Strong proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) for conversion tracking and custom event creation.
  • Data & Spreadsheets: Intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data manipulation) and experience with data visualization tools like Looker Studio.
  • Feed Management (Preferred): Experience managing and optimizing product feeds via Google Merchant Center for e-commerce campaigns.
Soft Skills:
  • Analytical Curiosity: An innate desire to ask "why" when looking at a data trend, looking past vanity metrics (clicks/impressions) to focus on bottom-line business impact (ROI/ROAS).
  • Adaptability & Agility: Comfortable with rapid industry shifts, privacy updates (e.g., cookie depreciation), and fast-evolving ad platform algorithms.
  • Strong Copywriting Instincts: The ability to step into the mind of the target consumer and write compelling, benefit-driven ad copy that converts.
  • Proactive Communication: The ability to translate complex data sets and technical PPC jargon into clear, straightforward insights for internal stakeholders or clients.
  • Extreme Attention to Detail: High precision in tracking settings, budget pacing, and URL parameters-where a single typo can cost thousands of dollars.
Nice to haves:
  • Strong Client Communication Skills
  • Other skills outside of PPC whether in Email, SEO, GD etc.
  • Great with Client Relationships
  • Broader Business Strategy
  • Managed ad spend of over $5,000 per month
  • Organized
Organizational Alignment:
  • The PPC Specialist reports to the Director of Digital Marketing and the Lead PPC Strategist.

***This is a Contractor position, part time (40-50 hours montly).
