Job description

Scandinavian Building Services has been a Canadian leader in retail and commercial cleaning for the last 60 years. Starting as a small family owned and operated business in Edmonton Alberta in 1982 to offering full service janitorial and building maintenance across Canada today. As we continue to grow we are looking to add an Account Supervisor in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to the Scandi Family!

You will be taking care of 1 site located in Pawtucket.

Schedule:

During events: Flexible hours including days, evenings, and nights based on event show times. Scheduling accommodations to be determined through agreement between the Account Supervisor and SR Director, Sports, Entertainment, & Hospitality.

During off peak: Off peak core hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with required flexibility to respond to the needs of the business which could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What your day to day looks like:

Reporting into the Regional Director you will be taking care of the day to day operations of the account and site that are in your designated portfolio.

  • Site Visit; Conducting site visits at the location within your region ensuring compliance with safety and customer service standards
  • Account Management; Creating and fostering strong relationships with key clients and store managers. Handling all complaints or issues in a prompt and timely fashion ensuring utmost satisfaction at all times
  • People Management; Handling all personnel issues for the hourly Cleaners at your site for both internal and subcontractors including; scheduling, conflicts, hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary action

What you'll need to succeed:

  • 2-3 years Supervisory or Customer/Account Management experience
  • Subject matter expert in commercial cleaning including, but not limited to: trash removal; dusting; cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, conference rooms; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming floors; window washing; buffing floors; stripping and waxing floors; stone care; carpet cleaning; carpet spotting; upholstery cleaning
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Most important to us is strong customer service skills since this will be a client facing role
  • Excellent proficiency of the English language in both written and verbal communication
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic and enjoys working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to lead a team while fostering a strong team connection and collaboration
  • Reliable and trustworthy with the ability to handle some high pressure stressful situations
  • Willingness to learn the cleaning industry

Additional Job Details:

  • Must be available 24/7 in case of emergency or client needs

Our interview process:

  • 20 minute preliminary phone interview with our Recruiter
  • 20-40 minute to an hour assessment (depending on optional practice questions or breaks).
  • 30 minute MS Teams video interview with the Hiring Manager and direct Supervisor for the role
