We are seeking an experienced Atlassian & ServiceNow Engineer who will serve as a platform administrator, responsible for securing, maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing both ecosystems. This role is critical to ensuring platform reliability, automation of business processes, operational excellence, and delivery of high-quality services to internal stakeholders.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient professional with 7-10 years of experience administering and engineering enterprise-scale Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management) and ServiceNow environments.

The ideal candidate should possess strong platform administration expertise, automation experience, integration capabilities, governance knowledge, and a customer-focused mindset. The candidate must be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, security teams, and enterprise architects to deliver scalable and secure solutions.

Key attributes include:

  • Hands-on expertise administering Atlassian and ServiceNow platforms.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM, ITIL, workflow automation, and service management processes.
  • Experience designing and implementing custom workflows, forms, dashboards, and reports.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management, RBAC, SSO, and platform security controls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues and manage environments with high availability requirements.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Platform Administration & Operations

  • Administer and maintain Atlassian products including:
    • Jira Software
    • Jira Service Management (JSM)
    • Confluence
    • Atlassian Marketplace applications
  • Administer and maintain ServiceNow platform modules including:
    • Service Catalog
    • Knowledge Management
  • Manage system configurations, upgrades, patches, and platform releases.
  • Ensure platform availability, performance, and capacity management.

Workflow & Process Automation

  • Design, build, and maintain workflows, forms, approvals, and automation rules.
  • Develop and optimize ServiceNow Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and IntegrationHub solutions.
  • Configure Jira workflows, schemes, screens, permissions, and automation capabilities.
  • Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and user experience.

Security & Governance

  • Implement and maintain role-based access controls (RBAC).
  • Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, permissions, and group management.
  • Support SSO, MFA, LDAP/AD, Azure AD, and identity integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, audit requirements, and governance controls.
  • Conduct periodic platform access reviews and security assessments.

Integrations & Development

  • Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow, Atlassian tools, and enterprise systems.
  • Support REST APIs, webhooks, middleware, and integration frameworks.
  • Develop scripts and automation using JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies where required.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures and performance bottlenecks.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Develop operational dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting.
  • Monitor platform health, usage, performance, and adoption.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
  • Support audits and provide evidence for compliance reviews.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with IT, Security, Engineering, and Business teams to understand requirements.
  • Provide platform consultation, best practices, and technical guidance.
  • Lead or support platform enhancement projects and service improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior administrators and platform support personnel.

Salary Range:

$67,000 - $109,750 Annual
