Job description

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to support DevSecOps platform infrastructure and operations for mission-critical government systems. This role provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 operations support while learning site reliability engineering (SRE) practices in cloud-native environments. The ideal candidate will support automation, observability, and troubleshooting in Azure Kubernetes environments while working alongside experienced platform engineers.

Must be a US citizen and an active TS/SCI security clearance is required for this position. Sign-on Bonus available Responsibilities include: Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 operations support for the platform, troubleshooting issues and performing O&M tasks to maintain system availability Monitor platform health using Azure Monitor and other observability tools, responding to incidents and alerts Support automated DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD processes, troubleshooting pipeline issues under guidance from senior engineers Assist with infrastructure deployment and maintenance using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, and other IaC tooling Support containerization strategies using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) Work as part of an Agile development team to ensure infrastructure security and compliance with DoD requirements Help implement automation and monitoring solutions for deployment pipeline health Document incident responses, troubleshooting steps, and resolution procedures Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to support platform capabilities Other duties as assigned Technical Experience & Qualifications Must be US Citizen Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure operations, or related field; recent graduates with relevant internships or coursework will be considered Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance (Required) Cloud Platforms: Foundational knowledge of Azure cloud services; AWS experience is a plus Basic Technical Skills: Exposure to Linux/Windows administration, scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash), and version control (Git) Containerization: Basic understanding of Docker and container concepts; Kubernetes exposure preferred CI/CD & Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and interest in learning automation practices Security Awareness: Understanding of basic security practices with willingness to learn DevSecOps and DoD compliance requirements Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to learn technical concepts quickly * Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration
