Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The DevOps Cloud Engineer supports the program's Global team by designing, implementing, and managing a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform, with a focus on automation, deployment, and continuous improvement.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Design, implement, and manage a hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or Terraform
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify automation and process improvement opportunities
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell
  • Test and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects
  • Track and assess the impact of infrastructure changes such as patching and maintenance

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must obtain DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent) within three months of starting
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, RedHat OpenStack, or Nutanix
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible
  • Experience working within a Scrum team in an Agile environment

EDUCATION: Bachelors with 5+ or Master withย  3+ Years of Experience

LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site at Schriever Base in Colorado Springs, CO

CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT:ย  Top Secret (SCI Eligibility)ย 

DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II

SALARY RANGE: $120,000 to $145,000
