Description:
Operates and maintains all aspects of boiler systems, emergency generator
systems, HVAC equipment and mechanical equipment. Conducts preventative maintenance, corrective
maintenance, procures parts and services. Performs all types of plumbing repairs, general maintenance
duties and security functions.
80hrs per pp
3rd shift, Monday through Friday, from 10:00pm to 6:30am.
weekends and holidays to be scheduled in accordance with CBA.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school graduate with formal training in basic electrical or electronic theory preferred.
2. Boiler Operator license preferred.
3. Maritime or powerhouse experience with boiler operation.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of equipment methods and materials used in boiler operation to
include but not limited to electrical systems, pneumatic control circuits.
5. Knowledge of OSHA and MIOSHA safety standards.
6. Ability to operate power tools and complex test equipment.
7. Valid Michigan driver's license.
8. Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of
the organization.
