HiFyve is hiring Power Systems Technicians in the heavy equipment industry in Piscataway, NJ!

Salary: $29.00–$44.00/hr DOE

Shift: Full-Time (with after-hours emergency response as needed)

Location: On-site – Piscataway, NJ


Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial generators and engines for company and customer equipment

• Troubleshoot issues and escalate outstanding concerns to the Service Manager as needed

• Remove, replace, rebuild, or repair components to specifications in a timely manner

• Perform testing and quality checks to verify equipment performance after repair

• Review diagnostic readings and compare findings to manufacturer specifications

• Respond to after-hours emergency calls when required

• Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE, including contamination control standards

• Complete required documentation and secure equipment at the end of each shift

• Maintain technical expertise and seek continuous self-development opportunities


Education & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 3–5 years of experience working with power generation units (Cat or Non-Cat)


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills with power systems

• Ability to multitask and assist with parts research and ordering

• Computer proficiency; experience with SIS Web and ET diagnostic software preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
