What you Will Do:
The Controls & Diagnostics Systems (CDS) organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Engineer II to join the Engine System Software organization. The qualified candidate will be responsible for:
  • Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into software requirements and designs within an Agile Framework.
  • Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs.
  • Perform software verification within the Agile Framework including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies.
  • Participate in software planning, estimating and tracking per Agile framework.
  • Potential to serve as Agile Scrum Master and/or part of the Development Team.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 2 years of engineering experience or an Advanced degree

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Solid track record of achieving results in a technical role.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high pressure engineering environment.
  • Prior experience developing software in an Agile framework.
  • Prior safety critical software development experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO178B.
  • Outstanding cross discipline communication skills.
  • Familiarity with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures and control logic design.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
