Job description

Location : San Jose, CA

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000

Bonus : Up to 10%

Job Summary

Semi System Application Engineer leads the activity of developing, testing and maintaining systems for semiconductor industry.

Core Role Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer's request on Kawasaki semiconductor system application.
  • Be the technical focal point of Kawasaki semiconductor system. Respond to technical inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Lead the activity of prototype design projects. Provide technical guidance to mechanical team, electrical team, software team and prototype team to complete system application within committed timeline.
  • Provide field support on customer's site on initial system start up, including domestic or oversea travels.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years' technical experience working on semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to understand & articulate complex technical concepts in presentation format
  • Strong organizational & time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work with limited supervision

Preferred

  • 5+ years' experience in an engineering position in automation or semiconductor industry
  • Experience with semiconductor EFEM.
  • Experience with system design in semiconductor fab environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 25 pounds unassisted
  • Able to sit, stand, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
  • Ability to use common mechanical tools including but not limited to screw drivers, hex keys, torque wrenches
  • Attendance is a requirement of this position
