Positionย :ย Power Platform Developer - Hybrid role

Job Location:ย Austin, TX. Hybridย (Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Thursdays and Fridays) required to be onsite.)


The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, testing, and documenting computer programs, applying strong knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. This role involves evaluating user requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with existing systems.

This position will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and supporting the expansion of the Client's Microsoft 365 Power Platform. A key project will be completing the development of an Invoice Tracking System (ITS). The role requires hands-on development across various Power Platform areas, including Process Automate, Dataverse, integration of Power Apps with external services, Model-driven Apps, Canvas Apps, and Power Pages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate user requests to determine the feasibility and scope of new or modified applications.
  • Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
  • Formulate and execute detailed development plans using methodologies like structured analysis and design or object-oriented development.
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
  • Develop and support Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and Power Pages portals.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with external services, products, and other databases.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical staff throughout the project lifecycle, participating in Agile development and sprint planning.
  • Provide training and mentorship to other developers on the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Adhere to and promote best practices for Power Platform application development and operations.


Minimum Requirements:

  • 8 Years Required: Work experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments.
  • 4 Years Preferred: Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
  • 4 Years Preferred: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Pages, Connectors, and Power Automate technical solutions.
  • 2 Years Preferred: Design and development of Power Pages, Canvas Apps, and Model-Driven Apps using Microsoft Dataverse or SharePoint.
  • 2 Years Preferred: Communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization.
  • 2 Years Preferred: Good teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with other functional and technical staff on the project.
  • 2 Years Preferred: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
  • 2 Years Preferred: Ability to train and mentor other developers on the Microsoft Power Platform technology.
  • 2 Years Preferred: Experience in Agile development and sprint planning.
  • 1 Year Preferred: Experience with Power Automate Cloud Flows, Desktop Flows, business process Flows, and Process Advisor.
  • 1 Year Preferred: Experience in extending Power Platform and Power Pages using JavaScript and custom plug-ins.
  • 1 Year Preferred: Good understanding of Dataverse tables and their uses.
  • 1 Year Preferred: Good understanding of connectors and external integration.
  • 1 Year Preferred: Good understanding of Power BI.
  • 1 Year Preferred: Good understanding of Power Platform best practices for application development and operations.
  • 1 Year Preferred: Good understanding of the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Admin Center.
  • 1 Year Preferred: Experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for one or more State of Texas Agencies.
