Job description

Senior SharePoint / Power Platform Developer

Washington DC 20416

A. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, deploy, and enhance Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate flows, SharePoint list-based applications, and SPFx web parts and extensions across Dev, Test, and Production.
  • Modernize legacy code-based and classic SharePoint applications to Power Platform and modern SharePoint (e.g., inspector-general application suite, intranet gateway redesign).
  • Deliver mobile-responsive SharePoint applications, prototype pages, and templates; present work in sprint reviews and document in monthly reports.
  • Actively manage requirements intake and UAT scheduling with requesting program offices so that efforts do not stall on government dependencies.
  • Write all new code to WCAG 2.0 Level A/AA and Revised 508 Standards and support conformance testing before release.
  • Prepare technical elements of change packages (test plans, back-out plans, timelines) for application releases.
  • Resolve escalated ServiceNow application tickets; mentor the Junior Developer; maintain design, data model, and code documentation.
B. Experience and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of software development; 4+ years building solutions on SharePoint Online and the Power Platform.
  • Portfolio evidence of at least five production Power Apps / Power Automate solutions and at least two SPFx web parts delivered through a formal SDLC with UAT.
  • Experience replacing legacy interfaces (InfoPath, SharePoint Designer workflows, ASP.NET, classic web parts) with modern solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certification: Microsoft Certified Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or Microsoft 365 Certified Developer Associate (MS-600), or legacy MCSD/MCSE Productivity (SharePoint). Preferred: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert.
  • Eligible for a federal Public Trust background investigation and PIV credential.
