Job Description:

As a Production Packaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by ensuring that our finished products are inspected, packaged, and prepared for shipment according to company standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the production team to maintain efficiency and quality throughout the packaging process.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in production line setup and preparation.
  • Construct correct product boxes and/or utilize stock packaging materials as needed.
  • Stock work area with necessary products and materials for packaging.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP and CGMP standards.
  • Package products into appropriate containers, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Inspect filled or packaged products for conformity to specifications.
  • Stack finished packaged items, cartons, or containers onto pallets/skids.
  • Affix identification labels to finished packaged items.
  • Utilize power-assisted pallet jack to transport finished products to staging area.
  • Count and record finished or rejected items accurately into computer systems.
  • Seal and palletize boxes securely for shipment.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; participation in E-Verify required.
  • Ability to work (4) 12-hour shifts per week 
  • Flexible availability to work day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) or night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) as required.
  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English to execute safety protocols, instructions, and training materials.
  • Basic numeracy skills to read and write numbers, letters, and comprehend packaging instructions.
  • Manual dexterity to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality at the assigned work location for the entire shift.
  • Ability to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures, from hot to cold
