We are currently looking for aQuality Engineerwhowill play a pivotal role in ensuring manufacturing quality of the Waukesha Gas Engine product line. This position is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and improving robust measurement, testing, and inspection processes; defining operational quality standards; and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership, ensuring the team is equipped with modern tools, clear expectations, and bestinclass quality practices. The Quality Engineer will oversee complaints and nonconformities, drive errormanagement processes, and collaborate closely with global Engineering, Supplier Quality, and accredited testing partners to maintain harmonized standards. This role will focus on engine testing and paint process and will require knowledge of engine operation. Success in this role requires a keen sense of ownership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and inspire a high-performing technical team.

What you'll do:

  • Define, implement, and continuously refine operational quality procedures, driving best practices from day one.

  • Hands on quality support for engine testing and paint processes. Ensuring quality representation and support to resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Review customer complaints, non-conformities, and the overall error-management process to ensure fast and effective resolution.

  • Introduce new inspection methods, measurement technologies, and digital tools, ensuring the team is equipped with state-of-the-art capabilities.

  • Monitor KPIs, ensuring alignment with global standards and business objectives.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of quality, accountability, and innovation.

  • Collaborate closely with global Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, and accredited testing organizations to ensure harmonized standards across regions.

What you'll have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineeringor relatedtechnicalfield.

  • At least 5years' experiencein measurement and testing technology, mechanical engineering, service, or mechanical manufacturing.

  • Technical knowledge of reciprocating engines or similar technologies from a quality perspective. Experience in engine test is a plus.

  • Strong sense of ownership, high quality awareness, and an ability to engage, motivate, and develop people.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge cultural and cross-functional teams.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications andabilityto learn Quality tools(Q-DAS or Oracle NC-Management)
