YOUR IMPACT

As a High Voltage Electrician - Lineman, you keep the lights on and the power running as you repair, maintain, and install electric systems, components, and equipment. You service overhead and underground parts while closely following safety regulations and adhering to quality standards. Collaborating with project managers and tradespeople, you strive to get the job done on time and within budget.

Your responsibilities include inspecting systems, diagnosing problems, and documenting the job. You use various tools to splice, terminate, and test cables and equipment as well as service electric substations and other components. Your efforts make a massive impact on clients and our company!


REQUIREMENTS

  • Journeyman lineman and high-voltage certification
  • 4+ years of experience as a high voltage electrician, including apprenticeship
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to move heavy objects, be in all kinds of weather conditions, and work from heights or confined spaces
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Michigan journeyman license
  • Experience working with overhead and underground lines, substations, and related equipment
