As a Generator Commissioning Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation, testing, and commissioning of generator systems within data center environments. This role involves verifying system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards to guarantee reliable backup power for critical infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities:- Perform commissioning activities for generator systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Conduct functional and performance testing to validate system operation under various load conditions.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Document commissioning procedures, test results, and any deviations from specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Provide technical support during integration with other power systems (UPS, switchgear, etc.).
- Assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions during commissioning and post-installation phases.
- Integrate communications into site BMS/Modbus.
Additional Responsibilities:- Must be able to obtain a CDL license if required
- Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
- Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Education/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
Required Qualifications/Skills:Familiarity with diesel and gas generator systems, load banks, and control systems.
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and commissioning software.
Ability to work in data center environments and outdoors as needed.
Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and climbing.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
