We are an industry leader in heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) with both domestic and international customers.
Position Summary
The Project Manager (HRSG Services) directs and manages global contracts to design, fabricate and erect HRSGs of varying scope and complexity.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Manages all commercial aspects of Aftermarket contracts and contract change orders to optimize the Company's profit potential and minimize risk and exposure.
  • Establishes contact with clients through pre-sale conversations and at the kick-off meetings.
  • Act as presales support as requested and primary liaison between customers and VPI to develop and maintain good working relationships.
  • Develops the overall Project Quality Plan and assures compliance throughout the Company.
  • Approves all requisitions and project related expenditures, maintains complete project budget and forecast, and provides monthly cash flow reports to the Accounting department.
  • Develops and provides monthly Project Reports to the customer and Financial Analysis/Status Reports to CFO and department managers.
  • Coordinates, develops and maintains overall project schedule through/with the Scheduler and Project Engineers.
  • Evaluates and selects suppliers and subcontractors for major materials, engineered equipment and fabrication services in conjunction with VPI and Corporate Global Supply Management.
  • Develops Supplier Special Terms & Conditions as needed, generates requisitions, and approves all requisitions.
  • Coordinates shipping including utilizing Customer systems as well as resolving shipping issues such as Overages, shortages and Damage reports.
  • Performs and/or assists in studies for economic/technical optimization of our products within the confines of the contract.
  • Organizes and facilitates project team meetings and the issuance of meeting minutes.
  • Coordinates all project related field activities through completion of commissioning and all punch list activities to include interface with VPI site construction/commissioning Technical Advisors and Customer/Contractor site management, and negotiation/cost control of field related extra work orders.
  • Coordinates the resolution and final disposition of NCR's (Non-Conformance Reports) and site RFI's (Request For Information). Support Project Engineering in resolution of SDR's (Supplier Deviation Requests) and ECN's (Engineering Change Notices).
  • Maintains all project related correspondence and financial files/ records as identified by Company ISO procedures.
  • Schedules and coordinates with external and internal customers including the hand off of all aspects of the Vogt Power Warranty related activities of their respective projects to the Warranty manager or as assigned by the Director of Operations.
  • Coordinate development of Erection manuals and Construction Plans as required to coordinate with field activities and per applicable Company ISO procedures.
  • Sharing of information with Project Team. Provides coaching and mentoring to project team members to develop a well-functioning team environment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering. MBA preferred. Five (5) years' experience managing complex large ($5 to $60 million) projects as a project or general manager, with total project responsibility.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must exhibit strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a matrixes team environment.
  • Must exhibit an understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and general engineering principles as they apply to the equipment manufactured or supplied by Vogt Power.
  • Must exhibit a knowledge and understanding of contracts (legal and financial aspects), cost control and scheduling.
  • Must be organized; thorough; able to process, absorb and transfer information expediently; and be able to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
  • Requires competency in MSEXCEL, WORD and other relevant software.
  • Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel as required.

The base pay range for this Project Manager (HRSG Services) role is $110,000 - $160,000 annually.
