Job description

Job Summary:
The Detroit Athletic Club is searching for a qualified candidate to join the Engineering team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment and building systems.
  • Functions Equipment set-ups as needed.
  • Preventative Maintenance tasks (PM's)
  • Ability to log all work assigned and completed in computerized maintenance management system.
  • Able to perform mechanical systems and pool water testing
  • Consistently maintain DAC engineering department high maintenance and repair standards. Other Duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 3rd Class Refrigeration Operator's License
  • Minimum of City of Detroit Low Pressure Boiler Operator's license
  • HVAC / Refrigeration Technician Certificate, Valid License and Field Experience
  • Previous building maintenance experience
  • Basic computer skills, experience with building automation systems and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment (within Engineering team and throughout the club)

Education and/or Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years work experience
  • High school diploma required, courses in HVAC preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift to 40 pounds.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
