About Us

Atwell's Power & Energy group specializes in power generation and power delivery: utility-scale solar PV, BESS, wind, high-voltage substations, transmission (OH/UG), and distribution. We partner with developers, IPPs, utilities, and EPCs from concept through commissioning.

  • Solar Design:
    • Solar Design Engineer (PV layout, equipment sizing, DC/AC collection, grounding, studies exposure)
    • Solar Design Manager (team leadership, QA/QC, standards, schedule/budget, client interface)
    • Solar Designer (site plans, grading coordination, racking/tracker layouts, plan set production)
      Tools: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PVcase, PVSyst/Helioscope (nice to have), Bluebeam
  • Interconnection & Studies: Interconnection Engineer, Power Systems Engineer (PSSE/PSCAD/ETAP/SKM/ASPEN)
  • Substation (Physical & P&C): Substation Engineer/Designer, Protection & Controls Engineer/Designer, SCADA/RTAC
  • Structural (Renewables): Structural Engineer (PV/BESS foundations, steel/concrete; STAAD/L-PILE/ROBOT)
  • Transmission Line (OH/UG): Transmission Line Engineer/Designer (PLS-CADD/PLS-POLE; UG trench/duct bank)
  • Civil/Site (Renewables): Civil Engineer/Designer (grading, roads, drainage, SWPPP; Civil 3D)
  • Project Management: Technical PM / Owner's Engineer (solar, BESS, wind, substation, transmission)
  • Construction & Field: Owner's Rep / Construction Manager / Commissioning (PV/BESS/Substation/T-Line)
  • CAD & GIS: Designers/Drafters (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Plant 3D, CADWorx) and GIS specialists
  • Survey & Geomatics: Field & office roles supporting linear and site projects
