Job Title: Senior Power Apps Developer
Primary Location: Hybrid, 2 Days in Office - Chicago North Suburbs
Position Type: Direct hire

Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Senior Power Apps Developer to join a growing organization in the Construction Management industry. This is a direct hire opportunity with a client based in Illinois.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about the Microsoft Power Platform—someone who stays current on new features, enjoys building innovative business applications, and constantly thinks about how Power Apps can transform business processes.
This is not a general software development role. We need a Power Apps expert who will become the organization's go-to resource for application development within the Microsoft ecosystem. You'll partner directly with business leaders to identify opportunities, rapidly prototype solutions, and deliver scalable applications that improve productivity across operations, field services, project management, finance, and customer service.
Our environment is centered around Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Power Apps is a strategic platform for driving digital transformation across the business the key to this role is being power apps obsessed and building apps that support the business – it's all about the business right!

What You Bring to the Role

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Deep expertise with both Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
  • Strong experience developing solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Experience integrating Power Apps with Dataverse, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Azure services.
  • Advanced knowledge of Power Automate for workflow automation and business process optimization.
  • Experience building reusable components, custom connectors, and scalable Power Platform solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse architecture, security roles, business rules, and solution management.
  • Experience deploying and managing solutions across Development, Test, and Production environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for the Power Platform.
  • Strong understanding of API integrations, REST services, and Microsoft Graph.
  • Experience optimizing application performance, usability, and scalability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into intuitive business applications.

  • Extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 through custom Power Apps and Dataverse solutions.
  • Develop Power Automate workflows to eliminate manual work and improve operational efficiency.
  • Design intuitive, user-friendly applications that drive high user adoption.
  • Create scalable, reusable Power Platform components and application frameworks.
  • Integrate Power Apps with Dynamics 365, SQL Server, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure services, and third-party platforms.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and recommend Power Platform best practices.
  • Stay ahead of Microsoft's Power Platform roadmap and evaluate new capabilities for business adoption.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring on Power Platform development standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and continuously enhance existing applications.
  • Drive innovation by identifying new ways Power Apps can improve business performance and customer experience.

Compensation Information
The expected compensation for this position is $110 - $130K competitive and based on experience and qualifications. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity also includes comprehensive benefits upon conversion, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
