Overview:
SOSi is seeking a highly qualified SharePoint/Power Apps Developer to join our team on site in Fort Belvoir, VA, in support of our government customers. In this role, the SharePoint/PowerApps Developer provides development, configuration, and technical support for SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and Power Automate solutions within Army or similar DoD environments. Under the guidance of senior developers and project managers, this role assists with designing and building applications, translating functional requirements into technical components, and supporting daily operations and sustainment activities. The Junior Developer applies foundational knowledge of SPFx, Power Platform tools, and modern web technologies to help deliver secure, compliant, and maintainable solutions. This individual participates in documentation, troubleshooting, testing, site configuration, and workflow automation, gaining experience across the full software development lifecycle while ensuring solutions meet Government standards and project quality requirements.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Assist with designing and developing custom SharePoint solutions, pages, and components.
  • Build and configure basic Power Apps applications to meet functional requirements.
  • Develop automated workflows using Power Automate under supervision.
  • Support the translation of business requirements into functional and technical designs.
  • Maintain SharePoint site collections, lists, libraries, and page content.
  • Assist with monitoring and resolving issues related to SharePoint permissions and site functionality.
  • Support the application of SharePoint patches, updates, and environment changes.
  • Assist in migrating SharePoint sites or content into new environments or hardware platforms.
  • Support IT project development tasks and requirements across multiple projects.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining technical documentation for supported applications.
  • Provide updates to customized SharePoint pages and assist with end-user support or training.
  • Assist Project Managers by providing initial development effort estimates for assigned tasks.
  • Work with stakeholders to design or customize applications that improve operational efficiency.
  • Support integration efforts involving GOTS and COTS applications as directed.
  • Contribute to maintaining compliance with contract requirements, government standards, and SDLC processes.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • An active in scope of Secret security clearance.
  • Must possess baseline and computing environment certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCP).
  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in technical disciplines such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of software development experience.
  • Foundational experience with SharePoint development includes lists, libraries, permissions, and site collections.
  • Basic knowledge of the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and modern web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
  • Hands-on experience developing Power Apps solutions.
  • Basic familiarity with Power Automate workflow creation.
  • Understanding of GOTS and COTS application concepts and integration approaches.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint architecture, content types, permissions, and information management policies.
  • Ability to contribute to project scheduling with initial time estimates for assigned development tasks.
  • Experience working within an SDLC framework and supporting development lifecycle activities.
  • Ability to create and maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for SharePoint and Power Platform issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and accept technical guidance from senior staff.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 development principles and best practices.
  • Ability to support multiple IT projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
