Position Summary
Safely and efficiently works in the paint-shop, in accordance with work instructions, by using specialized and approved tooling to perform standardized work and ensure product quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize approved equipment to efficiently apply powder coating while maintaining high quality and coverage standards.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in 5s activities
- Alerts appropriate personnel in the case of equipment troubles and other abnormalities by practicing "Stop, Call, Wait"
- Perform special projects as requested and related to tasks needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
- English language competency and legible writing ability
- Successful PFT evaluation and ability to continuously wear required PPE
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous paint shop experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous powder coat application experience

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the team member must have the ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions, stand for the duration of the shift, uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; ascend stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. In addition, the team member must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Position requires employee to successfully pass a PFT evaluation prior to employment and continuously wear a supplied air breathing system.
