More than half of our job openings are filled by internal promotion, and we encourage Team Members to gain a variety of experiences across different functional groups. Job Description Pay Range: $69,300-$80,885 per year. Purpose of Position: Provide support to the Hatchery Manager to maintain the goal of producing the highest quality chick at the lowest possible cost. Essential Job Functions: Collaborate with manager in meeting department goals and standards on quality, yield, productivity, safety, and costs. Supervise production up to 200,000 chicks daily. Establish and maintain labor efficiencies. Provide safety training for all employees, perform safety inspections and audits monthly. Assist with controlling inventory of chemicals and supplies. Responsible for the supervision, development and training of Team members. Management of Team members timecards and working schedules. Execute and expand hatchery programs, procedures and safety standards in regard to sanitation, Inovo injection, equipment operation, animal welfare etc. Assist with monitoring programs including evaluating chick quality, cleanliness, and various biological aspects. Qualifications College degree or equivalent work experience in related field, at least 1 year of equivalent experience preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Good organizational and time management skills Must adhere to Foster Farms disease control policies. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required Ability to operate automation equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to keep regular attendance and work shifts as scheduled Ability to work weekend and graveyard shifts and most holidays.
