Key Responsibilities

· Plumbing Piping 3D QC/modeling Remote/PT/Freelance

- Produce and/or qc design documents for construction projects utilizing Revit

· Represent Department in BIM clash detection meetings to coordinate mechanical 3D model with other engineering disciplines, architectural studio, and trade contractors

· Ensure technical quality and conformance to department BIM standards and procedures

· May provide technical guidance to one or more junior designers in the production of construction contract documents

· Work independently with minimum supervision, and able to thrive in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline project team environment

· Review compliance with the local Code.

· Develop entry-level drawings using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of other Technicians or Engineers

· Demonstrate knowledge of procedures for the production of design developments and construction documents, and a thorough knowledge of engineering planning drafting and detailing

Skillset Required:-

· 3 or more years of work experience in the production of mechanical engineering contract documents utilizing Revit for commercial or industrial projects

· Working knowledge of mechanical building systems design including industry practices, construction methods and materials, codes, current technology and the preparation and use of contract documents in all phases of design and construction

· Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD for design and analysis

· Proficient in the use of Navisworks and other 3D project simulation software

· Ability to articulate 3D modeling concepts to groups of people

· Ability to be a technical resource for explaining Revit concepts to new users

· Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam

Education Credentials:-

· Minimum Highschool with a technical certification in mechanical design, graduate from a trade school in the field of mechanical design or contracting, graduate of a non-accredited engineering school or equivalent relevant experience.
