Description
The Department of Pathology, Microbiology, & Immunology, and Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology, & Inflammation (VI4) invite applications for two tenure-track faculty positions in the fields of microbiology and immunology at a level commensurate with experience. The appointments will be in the Division of Molecular Pathogenesis in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt Health and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Applicants working at Biosafety Level 3 are particularly encouraged to apply.
With an active and diverse faculty, the Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology, and Inflammation, and Division of Molecular Pathogenesis provide a collegial faculty with a range of scholarly interests and research facilities. The Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology and Vanderbilt Health, are located on the Vanderbilt University campus and home to internationally recognized programs in pharmacology, drug discovery, proteomics, structural biology, imaging science, bioinformatics, inflammation, and host-microbe interactions. The School consistently ranks in the Top 20 US Medical Schools and provides outstanding opportunities for scholarship and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree and a minimum of three years of appropriate postdoctoral experience and accomplishment with peer-reviewed publications that demonstrate outstanding scholarly work. Successful candidates will be expected to establish and maintain an energetic, independent and well-funded research program and participate in the teaching of graduate and medical students.
