Job description

Postdoc Position at UNC on Hybrid Magnonics

A postdoctoral position is available at the Physics & Astronomy Department of University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. The research involves the study hybrid magnonics in materials and devices including, but not limited to, organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite, chiral molecules, and metallic/insulator heterostructures, with applications to quantum signal transduction and sensing. The candidate will be able to learn state-of-the-art synthesis and characterization techniques, including high-speed/frequency microwave and optical spectroscopies, and experience a highly collaborative academic environment, both internally and externally, in particular with the UNC's Chapel Hill Analytical and Nanofab Lab (CHANL: https://chanl.unc.edu/ ), the Duke's Materials Instrumentation Facility (SMiF: https://smif.pratt.duke.edu/ ), and NCSU's Organic and Carbon Electronics Lab (ORaCEL: https://oracel.sciences.ncsu.edu/ ).

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
