Details: SC Byars Treatment Center is a 24-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility providing structured, trauma-informed care for adolescents who require intensive behavioral health services. Our interdisciplinary team delivers individualized, evidence-based programming in a safe, therapeutic environment focused on stabilization, treatment, and long-term success for the youth we serve.
Position Description
Are you passionate about using your expertise in psychology to provide compassionate care and help individuals build healthier, more fulfilling lives? We're seeking a dedicated Psychologist to join our team. In this role, you'll deliver individual and group psychotherapy, conduct psychological evaluations and testing, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans that foster healing and growth. You'll also play a key role in training, consultation, and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring care is delivered with the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.
This is more than just a clinical role-you'll have the opportunity to lead therapy groups, develop behavior management plans, and contribute to the education of both colleagues and future psychologists. Every day, you'll make a meaningful impact in the lives of the individuals we serve.
What You'll Do
  • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy, including psychoeducation and competency-focused groups
  • Conduct psychological evaluations, assessments, and testing
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and serve as a consultant to the multidisciplinary team
  • Supervise and mentor psychology interns, residents, and students
  • Provide employee education and training to support high-quality care delivery
  • Develop and implement behavior management plans; oversee data collection and outcomes
  • Offer expert testimony to the court, as needed
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in line with professional and facility standards
  • Support quality assurance reviews and continuous improvement efforts

What We're Looking For
Education
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university (required)

Experience
  • Completion of psychology internship and postdoctoral residency (required)
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (required)

Licenses/Certifications
  • Current license as a Psychologist in the state of practice (required)
  • Any client-mandated certifications and/or training (required)
